The fox is very popular design among kids. Full face, mask design, eye design those are all covered and well known so I wanted to introduce you this cute version of a sleeping Arctic fox! The Arctic fox is perfect for the winter season and when you want to have different designs to offer.
Step 1: The Basic Shape
I'm starting with a filbert brush and Kraze FX white. With painting a basic shape, we are creating guidelines for our Arctic fox design.You don't have to be precise with lines, we are focused on placement, shape and size in this step.
Step 2: Shading and Painting a Fox Face
With KrazeFX gray and Prima Barton round brush No.3 we are adding shades and defining the body shape.The brush should be almost dry so that we don't have sharp lines. The face of our Arctic fox is really simple, just keep in mind that her nose should be long and thin and ears big and a bit pointy at the top. Here you can see that this basic body shape can be used for cats too, just by changing the face shape.I'm using Wolfe black and a round brush No.0 for lining and painting small parts.
Step 3: Defining The Body & Lining
With the same round brush No.0 and black, finish up the rest of the body of our Arctic fox. Add eyebrows, a bit of pink to the ear and that's it.
Step 4: Adding Background and Details
This step is important because it gives our design more value, but it's up to you what will you paint, and of course how much time do you have. I'm using Silly Farm Arty Cake-Midnightand a flat brush to frame the design. Smooth the edges with a petal sponge (not too wet). Add a few details; stars, dots and teardrops with Kraze FX whiteand Prima Barton round brush No.3. For that special and magical effect, poof some Amerikan Body Art Glitter over the whole design and we are done.
