Last Minute Cosplay Makeup Ideas

Looking for some quick and easy facepaint ideas, maybe you have a costume party to go to, or it’s your first adventure into Cosplaying? As long as you have the colors you can’t really can’t get more simple makeup than some these.

Ogres

Felicia from Shrek

Felicia from Shrek

Children love the Shrek movies and the starring characters.

These are pretty simple to do, all you need is some Ben Nye Lime Green Face Paint and you have the basic. The female version also some brown freckles on her cheeks, which you can apply using a brown eye pencil.

If you want the create the ears some basic cheap ideas are to use golf tees, painted plastic spoons or to shape them out of play dough and let them dry. Then fasten the ‘ears’ to a cheap headband. From there the outfit is up to you.

Domino

Domino from X-Force

Domino from X-Force

This is a mutant from X-Force. She is a mercenary/ assassin with the ability to manipulate probabilities, giving her extremely good luck. Her outfit is simple because as long as it is black and tight it works. She also usually has at least one gun with her, frequently a pair of pistols. What makes her noticeable as a character is the large black circle that encompasses her left eye, her black lips and her pale skin.

If you are already pretty pale you don’t need to worry about it, but you can always use a foundation that is a shade or two lighter than your natural coloration. And for the lips and eye use Paradise Black Face Paint.

Hell Boy

Hell Boy

Perhaps not as easy as the rest to carry off as a straight cosplay, but you could always do him as a hybrid. His main facial features are the ground down horns and his cigar. The facial hair came and went with the different artists. To do horns cheaply basically anything brown and circular that has a little bit of a rise to it can be fastened to your head using Mehron Spirit Gum.

For the color I would suggest Diamond FX Red, for a deep long lasting color.

Winter Soldier

Winter Soldier

Long hair and darkened eyes make up the basics for the movie version of this Captain America Villain. For the costume itself, he has a black leather jacket and a left arm that is mechanical. If you scour the Internet you can find some tutorials to make it out of everything from low end duct tape up to the higher end Worbla. One low cost idea is to remove the sleeve from a leather jacket, then wear a silver shirt or bodysuit underneath
