Kraze FX Splash Glam 12 One Stroke Metallic Split Cake Palette Product Review

I recently aquired the beautiful Kraze Splash Glam Palette and am excited to share its features with you. All the new Kraze metallic one strokes in one compact palette. It is perfect to expand your options for one-strokes and it doesn’t take up a lot of room in your kit! Let’s check it out!

The palette comes with 12 different wax-based one stroke split cakes...that is a lot! Each cake contains 6 grams of paint. It also includes two small brushes, one round and one flat. I would suggest purchasing a 3/4" flat brush (if you don’t already have one) so you are able to load all the colors on one cake at once. The case if very sturdy with a cover that snaps into place to protect the palette. Also, each separate color is further protected with its own plastic cover inside the palette. (not pictured)

You can get an idea of the size of each color by comparing it to the quarter placed on one of them in the photo. A 3/4" flat brush fits perfectly for loading. The Palette measures 7.5" x 3.5" x 0.5 which is a nice handy size packed full of 12 different options. What a great way to try all these colors! There are individual full sized domed one strokes available to purchase if you find some that you use a lot.

Each color snaps into place within the kit to keep it in place. This enables you to remove them if you prefer to hold just one color while painting.

The back of the palette provides important information on ingredients, lot number, size, and other safety guidelines. I love that it is hypoallergenic, vegan, paraben free, non-toxic and cruelty free!

Let’s take a look at these magical colors! I labeled each color as that information is not provided on the kit. The following list spells out what colors are used in each one stroke. (listing starts at bottom left and goes up, then starts again at bottom right and goes up)

Lava: Metallic Red, Metallic Orange, Metallic Yellow, Metallic Gold

Fairydust: Purple, Metallic Periwinkle, Metallic Light Purple, Metallic White

Dusk: Metallic Purple, Metallic Blue, Metallic Light Blue, Silver

Holiday: Metallic Purple, Magenta, Metallic Blue, Metallic Gold

Sweetheart: Metallic Purple, Magenta, Metallic Pink, Metallic Gold

Pixie: Metallic Dark Pink, Metallic Yellow, Metallic Blue, Metallic Deep Purple

Forest: Dark Green, Metallic Blue, Metallic Green, Metallic Gold

Festive: Metallic Deep Purple, Magenta, Metallic Blue, Silver

Magic: Metallic Deep Purple, Metallic Pink, Metallic Orange, Metallic Yellow

Happy: Metallic Deep Purple, Metallic Blue, Metallic Green, Metallic Yellow

Jazz: Royal Blue, Metallic Blue, Magenta, Metallic Gold

Tranquil: Metallic Deep Purple, Metallic Blue, Metallic Green, Silver

Here is what the colors look like on my arm all together so you can compare. They really shimmer! Be sure to load your brush properly. If you have too much water, they look transparent and patchy. Take the time to get a good creamy consistency of paint on your brush.

All the colors perform beautifully with white and black line work. These images show each color as a base with line work on top for reference. The color dries fast and is not tacky. It is very easy to paint over.

Check out this Fairy design using Forest, Festive and Dusk. The beautiful Kraze metallics take this design from good to WOW!! It adds that special touch that can be achieved in the same amount of time as regular colors.

Try using these metallic one strokes on your standard designs. It will give them a whole new look and feel. If you are painting a dragon, switch things up by using Tranquil or Happy. For designs that have fire, like a rocket of flaming skull, try using Lava for the fire...it will have a very dramatic effect! Jazz is perfect for any patriotic design and will give it a WOW factor. Dusk would be amazing used for ”Frozen” or winter designs! Imagine unicorns, princesses, mermaids, butterflies and fairies with these metallic shimmering colors. The possibilities are endless!

I love this palette and would recommend it to anyone. The price point is reasonable for the variety of colors you get. It's compact, lightweight and well thought out. Beautiful colors that are easy and fun to use!
