Conjure up a goofy grin with this funny mummy step-by-step tutorial just in time for the premier of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. 

This silly sidekick is not only great for comedic relief but he's also a cinch to paint. The supplies needed for completing this design are as follows:

• Dot Stencil (or texture stencil of your choice) 
• Yellow Face Paint
• Lime Face Paint
• Sponge
• Paint Pal Romantic Rose Brush
• TAG Magpie One Stroke
• TAG Teddy Bear One Stroke
• Diamond FX Black
• Diamond FX White
• Small Round Brush

Begin by loading a sponge with yellow and lime green and continue on by applying background texture with a stencil of your choice. I chose simple dots but there are thousands of stencils that could be used. Use your discretion and always feel free to be creative and put your own spin on it. 

Bring the yellow and lime colors down to the eyes, keeping the yellow toward the inner corner of the eye and the lime green toward the outer.

You may skip the eye portion altogether if you are painting this design on a boy. It is always a great idea to ask your client their preference. 

Next, load up TAG Magpie, or your favorite white, grey, black gradient one stroke cake onto a small angled brush and paint the shape of Murray's head. I began by painting a lowercase 'e' at the center of the forehead then added in some very simple arms. 

With lime green and a number 3 round brush paint in two dots for his eyes. Clean off your small angled brush and load it back up with TAG Teddy Bear. Paint a simple swoop of color for where his top row of teeth will be. The light shade should be toward the top and the tan color at the bottom. 

Load up Black Diamond FX, or your favorite line black, onto a round number 2 or 3 brush and paint the outline and details. Murray is a mummy, so be sure to remember to paint in his strips of cloth with simple and thin crisp lines. Don't overdo it though, this is meant to be a simple and quick design, so just a few strips of cloth will get the point across. 

If you are painting a female, outline over the eyelid area with a thin curved line to add drama. If you're feeling fancy, throw in a few teardrops and curls for an extra wow!

Finally, add in your white highlights, the dots in the eyes, along a few of the cloth strips and...voila! You are finished.

With this simple, quick, and cute design you'll be sure to paint him up a (sand) storm!
