Dreamcatchers were originally made by Native North Americans. These small hoops are decorated with feathers and beads and they are believed to give their owner good dreams. Their design may be a little intricate todraw so I tried to simplify the base as much as I could to make it doable on the job. Girls will love it!
Let's get started!
Step 1
Sponge a subtle base with Grimas Blue and load a Silly Farm Paint Pal Swirl # 4 with Diamond FX Black to paint a thick circle. Now, with Jest Paint Bolt Liner, paint a small circle in the centre of it and oval shapes, just like crisscrossed petals. Painting the beginning of a new petal in the centre of the previous one.
Step 2
This image is just to show the final detail of the design in the centre of the hoop. As you can see, petals touch in a point and now we'll paint on each of them a small dot.
Step 3
Still with Jest Paint Bolt Liner loaded with Diamond FX Black paint with small irregular dots three strings falling from the hoop and decorate with dots too the areas where the crisscrossed petals touch to resemble knots. Now, paint some swirls and teardrops in the upper part of the design.
Load DiamondFX Angle Brush with PartyXplosion Aqua Split Cake and paint the feathers with wiggling movements to get an irregular border.
Step 4
Outline with Jest Paint Bolt Liner the feathers with Diamond FX Black.
Step 5
Now load Jest Paint Bolt Liner with DiamondFX White and add short angled lines around the hoop's border to give the impression of a string around it . Paint some highlights on black dots, feathers and some white dots to fill in blank spaces and give more light to the design.
