Valentine's Day Face Paint - Queen of Hearts by Ana Cedoviste

Some of the most frequent Valentine's Day face paint designs are hearts and roses, and those two together remind me of the Queen of hearts, so here is something different for your Valentine!

Step 1

Find a photo of a white rose that you like. Duplicate that photo and flip one of them so you can see how to do one on the right and one on the left side of the face. Do a sketch of roses. The best option is to use eyeliner that is super sharp since roses should be smaller, so lines have to be very thin.

Step 2

Paint roses in white but avoid panting over the sketching lines. I used white Kraze face paint.

Step 3

I added shadows using a precise brush, and a mixture of Kraze face paint in blackand Kraze face paint in brown. I used a small amount of paints on the brush, and applied in thin layers blending it out. Looking at the reference photos is important for this step! I added some Mehron Paradise Paint in Coral in the center of the roses as they had on my reference photos.

Step 4

Draw a heart shape around your face.

Step 5

I used Kraze paint in black to paint the heart shape on the outskirts of my face. Do your makeup! Do whatever you like and that fits your face. I don't use black around my eyes or smokey eyes since I don't like how that suits me, but a smokey eye or anything bold with big eyelashes, will go great with this look.

Step 6

Add some black hearts to add a few details. For the last step, I used Kraze face paint in red. This red paint is very dark and I like it, it is almost burgundy red. I painted some small red dots on petals and tried to paint on a few of them like the red color is dripping down the petals. I added two teardrops in the same color. After that, I used white paint so add some reflection details on the red drops.

That is all! I hope you like this look!

Love, Cedoviste.

My name is Ana but on social media I use the nickname "Cedoviste," which is a combination of two words in my language: čedo (kid, child) and čudoviše (monster), and I really am monster kid - creative, silly, cheerful but also strange, creepy and scary.

I am a self-taught artist living in Montenegro, a very, very small country on the Balkans (former Yugoslavia) with around 660.000 citizens. It is very rare for people here to do body art professionally, so I work a full time job in HR and body art is my hobby that takes time as much as full time job. :D

My favorite type of expression illusion makeup body art. I just love making illusions and seeing people's reactions. I also enjoy creating different characters that are just perfect for Halloween season.
