July 2020 Summer Design Contest Winner

Participating in challenges and contests is an excellent way to grow as an artist. No matter what your skill level is, we love to see how you are learning and improving over the years.

This month's prize was $100 store credit at Facepaint.com, and we'd like to extend our congratulations to the winner of our Summer Design Contest. As usual, it was a difficult choice for the judges, but in the end they loved the unique design of Nataliia Stomarivska. Congratulations, Nataliia!

We asked Nataliia to tell us about her inspiration for this month's contest and share more of her work, and this was what she had to say.

Summer Design Contest Winner:
Nataliia Stomarivska

This is just amazing news!!
Thank you sooo much!!! for the competitions you organize and for this opportunity for artists to try new materials from your site.

Q: What was your inspiration for your design?

My inspiration was a great desire to travel to the sea...walk on the warm sand, listen to the sound of sea waves and the cries of seagulls...and just the desire to lie in the sun under a colored umbrella. In today's quarantine situation, I can't go to sea, so the sea came to me!

Q: How long have you been face painting? Are you a professional or an amateur?

I have been engaged in face painting for eight years, and it is my profession and my biggest love and inspiration.

Q: What materials did you use to complete your design?

In this design I used many colors from different split cakes and from basic paints and also metallic paints of the Global brand.

Q: If other artists would like to enjoy seeing more of your work, do you have any social media links you would like to share?

Thank you, Nataliia, for entering our Summer Design Contest. We hope you enjoy your prize and that your work inspires other artists to continue to practice face painting, even during the difficult time, and to enter our future challenges!
