Glittering Skull by Natalia K

Who said that the picture of the skull needs to be scary and intimidating? We can make it more sparkling and glamorous! Add a little color and glitter to our image and you can safely go to the party!

Step 1

The first step is to use white face paint to sketch the future skull mask. The lines can be thinner as it is a sketch. The main thing at this stage is to do everything symmetrically.

Step 2

Next, using round brush Loew-Cornell (#5), cover the selected areas with a dense layer of white. I use the brand Global Standard White, it fits well and does not tighten the skin. Cheekbones leave it unpainted, because the black color should be bright, if you draw a white tone, it will turn pale gray.

Step 3

After the white colors fill in the black areas - using Chameleon-Baseline Strong Black, also apply a thick layer, the transition to the cheekbone filled in gray. I specifically use here the brush, as the sponge can get irregular contour. The tip of the nose is also painted white, and the sides covered in black. Below, select the curve of the skull to make it more expressive.

Step 4

So, we came to the most interesting, but more complex - drawing teeth, there is also the principle of symmetry, the front upper teeth should be slightly larger than the others. And don't make the teeth too much, in an adult not more than 32 teeth).

With a thin brush, I paint inside the lips and draw vertical lines from the middle to the edges, so that the tips of the lines are thin, elegant.

Step 5

It's time for shading! The help for this comes Cameleon Matteo #2 Long Blending Brush (3/8"), this brush enables you to blend perfectly, but you can't add too much water, otherwise paint will spread, we need a slightly moist texture of the brush. At the bottom of the skull mask add a couple of cracks to create realism.

Step 6

And in the last step will make our image more vivid, add Mehron Powder in Turquoise shade, you can use any color suitable to the color of your hair or accessories. By the way, for the shadows in the eyes, I also used this powder to the image looked harmonious.

Add a bit of glitz Glitter Gel - Abracadabra, color gorgeous shimmer in the light! Now You will not able to tear eyes.

You can draw for yourself this image for a party, photo shoot or just to cheer up.

I hope you enjoyed this look!

My name is Natalia, I live and work in Russia, the city of Yaroslavl. I do face painting for 7 years. One of my favorite destinations - belly painting, (so great to see how kids who have recently been in the tummy are already beginning to walk, talk and learn to draw) in my collection of 40 drawings for pregnant women. I've won a lot of face painting contests and now I want to teach you how to create beautiful drawings on faces. The most beautiful thing when you show your child the finished picture to see his shining smile
