Candy Land Dream Face Paint Design by Marina

Ice cream castles, jelly beans, as sweet as can be,

Let's have a Candy Land party; come and paint with me!

Step 1

With DFX white and a round Loew Cornell brush No. 1, we are going to do a basic sketch of our Candy Land, just to get a better perspective. I love to sketch my design first when I'm doing something new or when it has more elements.

Step 2

Let's play with colors! For hills, you can use any split cake you want. My choice for this one was Paradise Prisma Flash, with TAG Beige paint on the castle. The lining is done with TAG Brown. The sky in background was painted with mix of Mehron StarBlend Blue and White powders. Powder face paints are great for backgrounds, because they are softer and lighter (when used dry) so they give that dreamy effect. Play with your favorite colors to fill the rest of the design.

Step 3

I've done rough lining with DFX black because I`m gonna smooth all edges with a blending brush, so the lines don`t have to be perfect. For the ice creams, use a couple (two or more) color split cakes to get that dimension.

Step 4

When you want to blend edges and the paint is dry, just run your blending brush through a wet wipe to dampen it and go over paint. Add some shades with Mehron Black StarBlend, and some highlights with DFX White. With Yellow and Pink StarBlend, paint eyelids to complete your Candy Land mask.
