Ant-Man Mask by Marina

New superhero movie comes and we have to be prepared, right? So let's create an Ant-Man mask.

Step 1

First I'm doing rough painting with flat brush and black/gray cake. This will give design more dimension and save us from lining, for those busy events. Don't worry because it's all messy, we will blend it later.

Step 2

Ant-Man has red goggles on his mask, so next step is painting area around eyes with red. Since I discovered Mehron Starblend powder paints I always use them around eyes especially if I'm painting smaller kids.

Then paint two red stripes and make sure that they are going out. With same brush and cake "outline" those red stripes, making sure that the black is next to red and then turn brush to get black outside and draw the lines that end under eyes.

Step 3

Using my petal sponge and FAB white shimmer with a bit of gray I'm filling all the spaces, connecting the mask and blending uneven edges. Then using wet wipe I cleaned the excess paint from the forehead and outlined with round brush No.6 and DFX black paint. You can leave it like this, I'm going to continue with adding some details.

Step 4

I've painted that mouth part to make it a full face mask. With DFX white and round brush No.4 add highlights and with black Starblend and blending brush ad some shadows to make this mask pop out. And there it is, our Ant-Man mask.
