Halloween is coming up soon, and with that, the Addams Family movie is coming so we need to be prepared for these guys.When someone wants some character with the entire body, I always go for cute kawaii/chibi designs.They are simple,fast and still very recognizable.Today I'm going show you Morticia and Yncle Fester,but you can easily paint anyone else this way.
Morticia Face Paint Design
Step 1- Painting The Head
With TAG ivory from Skin tones palette I'm painting an oval/squared head and neck, and I used Kraze FX black and white for the eyes and nose.We are keeping it simple so this is it for the face,ad maybe some highlights to eyes or white dots and that's it.
Step 2 - Painting The Hair
For the hair I'm using two colors from Kraze FX -shark cake just to give it more interest.With an angled brush, pick up only two colors,and the lighter one will help our hair to look more dimensional.
Step 3 - Creating The Body
Morticia wears a long black dress that is recognizable,so we are painting one for our Morticia to. I'm taking Prima Barton's filbert brush and Kraze FX black. It is a really simple design so you will have no problem recreating this one.
Step 4 - Painting the Highlights
At the last minute, I've decided she needs hands - it's simple, but it looks much better! Loading my round brush No3 with Kraze Fx white and painting them on.Then use the same brush, just wipe it off on a tissue so it's more dry than wet, and paint the highlights.You can leave her like this,or you can add simple roses with stencils,or dots and starbursts, or just a swipe with a flat brush and favorite split cake.
Uncle Fester Face Paint Design
Step 1: Painting the Face
Uncle Fester is also another simple fella to paint, so we love him.I'm using the same colors; ivory from Skin tones palette,Kraze FX black and Kraze Fx gray
Step 2: Painting the Body
His body was painted with Kraze FX brown,and Kraze FX black. And here we have a nearly finished design!
Step 3: Adding Details
Adding details always increases a design's value. Lining the whole design makes it pop out more. Uncle Fester's light bulb is something that everyone will remember.So here is a simple bulb, again painted with Prima Barton's filbert brush and Kraze FX white,gray and black.Then, with Mehron starblend-black and lollipop swab, add black around his eyes, afew shadows here and there and that's it!
