"Vivid Coral" Fish Face Paint - Pantone Color of 2019

What is Pantone?
Pantone is a standardized color matching system, utilizing the Pantone numbering system for identifying colors. By standardizing the colors, different manufacturers in different locations can all reference a Pantone numbered color, making sure colors match without direct contact with one another.

Now that we got that covered, let's do some painting!

This design quickly became my favorite to offer at any event because it's so versatile. Also, don't you just love designs that can be painted with only two brushes!?

"Vivid coral" Fish Face Paint - Pantone Color 2019

Product used

Color me palette- Fundamentals 12 color

brushes-filbert,small round No1

DFX black and white

Paradise Beach Berry (my favorite red)

Step 1

I didn't have coral paint in my kit so had to mix one. Orange and pink from facepaint.com own palette gave perfect result. With filbert brush I'm placing my Vivid Coral fish under eye and her tail is going all the way to above the eyebrow creating C shape.

Step 2

Using same filbert brush (loaded with coral mix) I go over white and red to add some more lines to the tail of our fish. With small round brush No1 paint some speckles/scales. Now it's time to paint eye, line the shape of fish and add some swirls, teardrops to design-also using small round brush No1.

Step 3

Continue with lining whole design with black. After that, take white and add some swirls and highlights to get more dimension and interest. Adding matching eye shadow is optional of course but it does make your design look more complete and cohesive.

Step 4

My favorite thing for finishing up any design is shading. For me it's great and easy way to give more realistic feeling to the design. Black Mehron Starblend is my go to and must have powder paint for shading.

Tips and tricks

Very often I get parents complaining how their kids don't want to take off their face paint before going to bed. This is what I tell kids while I'm still painting them:

Great way to save this painting is to have a "wet wipe print!" Just put a wet wipe over design and press until image is transferred onto wipe.
