When I asked my son how he thought a warrior face painting would be he described some kind of medieval knight so that's what I tried to paint in a simple, easily doable on the job. The one stroke technique helps a lot to increase speed and add a 3D effect.
Let's get started!
Step 1
Load Paradise Prisma Flat Brush (1") with Kraze FX Split Cake Shark and paint the helmet's bottom shape with three strokes: a diagonal one starting from the centre of the eyes to the end of the eyebrow, another from the end of the eyebrow surrounding the eye with a semicircle, and the last one over the cheek doing an arch and finishing in a pointy end.
If you are right handed, I highly recommend to start painting the right side of your model for better symmetry and the other way round if you are left handed.
Step 2
Load the same brush again and cake to paint the upper part of the helmet doing two curved lines, taking into account to turn the brush with the dark paint side towards the hair.
Step 3
Now load a Kryvaline Small Sponge with Kraze FX White and fill in the blank area on the model's forehead. You can tap softly on any other area where you want to fill in or give a softer finish.
Step 4
Load a Loew Cornell Angle Brush with Kraze FX Split Cake Shark again and paint the central part of the helmet with two long sharp lines. The angle brush helps a lot to make the pointy shape on the model's nose.
Step 5
Now load a Silly Farm Paint Pal Swirl # 6 with Kraze FX White and paint three dots on the central part of the forehead to simulate the helmet rivets. You can give some white strokes here and there to give some highlights too.
Step 6
Now load a Jest Paint Bolt Liner #2 with Kraze FX Black and softly outline one side of the helmet rivets and those parts of the design you consider that need a better finish. You can skip this step if you don't have time because the black part of the split cake already does the outlining for you.
You can soften the outline going over it with a clean, damp Silly Farm Paint Pal Swirl # 6 to give more depth around the eyes and cheeks area.
Step 7
If you have time, you can give some texture to the design using a Dots Stencil and Kraze FX Split Cake Shark again.
Finally, load a Superstar Stipple Sponge on Kraze FX Black and dab softly around the mouth area to paint a beard.
Your warrior is ready for fighting!
