Ruby Red face paints are water activated, semi-solid cake makeup with high pigmentation. They are formulated with special binders and glycerin for a long lasting finish that won't smudge. FacePaint's Fish Face Painting kits include 2 ml Ruby Red face paint (Black, Dark Blue, Pale Blue, Pale Green, Sparkle Red, Yellow and White) and White Glitter. Brushes & sponges are sold separately here.
General Tips: Apply the lighter face paint colors before starting on the darker colors.
How to Use a Face Paint Brush: To load face paint on the brush: dip the brush into a bowl of water and mix it into the face paint to pick up the face paint. Apply the face paint brush in smooth even strokes.
How to Use a Face Paint Sponge: To load face paint onto the sponge: add water to the face paint sponge and dip into the face paint. Make sure that the face paint has a creamy consistency. Remember to try to use the minimum amount of water. First smear the face paint on then dab the face paint with the sponge to get an even opaque coverage.
Step 1: Use a round brush and create outline of a fish from the lips to the outer cheek in white face paint. Then continue to outline the tail and fins.
Step 2: With a round brush, add yellow face paint around edges of the mouth and add stripes in the body of the fish. Add yellow face paint to the bottom fin.
Step 3: Use a round brush and sea blue face paint, add stripes and color in the tail fins.
Step 4: Use small brush to add a fish eye with white face paint and add a black dot in the eye. Then add red face paint on the lips. Add opal glitter. Use a small brush and use dark blue face paint and light green face paint to make waves below the fish.
To Remove Face Paint: Remove the face paint with mild soap and water with a washcloth or paper towel. Remember to keep the face paint out of the eyes.
To Store Your Face Paint: Store the face paint with the lid closed. The face paint should last 18 months after 1st opening.
