Hanukkah Designs by Marina

Hanukkah is also known as the Festival of lights and the Feast of Dedication.Today we are gonna paint two most recognizable designs related to Hanukkah. As always I'm doing fast and simple on the job designs, hope you are gonna like and try them.

Step 1

Loading my petal sponge with my favorite FAB gold shimmer paint for the base.Apply in C shape around eye.

Step 2

With small 3/8 flat brush and TAG teddy bear cake paint oil can.Pick up two colors and put darker outside. This gives us dimension.

Step 3

Outline with DFX black and round brush No2.

Step 4

Depending on time, finish design by adding swirls, teardrops or stencil. For swirls and teardrops I love to use round brush No6.I've tried to capture glitter on picture but I couldn't ,however adding gold pixie paint glitter gel Lucky star will make our design pop out.And we are done.

MENORAH DESIGN

Step 1

This is probably fastest way to paint menorah.Small flat brush and TAG one stroke Dragon(I've picked up only two colors, red and orange).Again make sure that darker color is on outer sides.

Step 2

With same cake that I've used for candles paint a ribbon.I like to flip the brush and go over ribbon just to spare me from lining if I'm in a hurry.

Step 4

Here we have big gap and awesome place to put "hanukkah gelt"(refers to money as well as chocolate coins given to children on the festival of Hanukkah)

Step 5

With DFX metalic gold and filbert brush I've painted coins.Outlined them with round brush No0,and that is it.

Small variation;

If you want design to pop up more paint a ribbon with contrast paint and add some stars.
