Care Bears-Bedtime Bear by Marina

These little guys are cuteness overload!

Bedtime Bear is one of the ten original Care bears who originally appeared on American Greetings greeting cards in 1982. Since then, he has appeared in nearly every incarnation of the franchise, from movies to TV series to toys.

Step 1:Painting a Base

I've loaded my petal sponge with Silly farm-Mystique rainbow cake picking up only purple and blue colors with the wider side of the sponge, leaving the tip clean.Because we always wanna have bright colors at the inner side(it opens up the eyes and the whole design) I've loaded the tip of my sponge with my new favorite metallic white from Kraze FX.

Step 2: Layering and Adding Elements

With cloud stencil from GraffitiEyes Ultimate stencil kit create a bead for our Care Bears Bedtime Bear. I'm using Kraze FX- white(which has great coverage even on the top darker color) and small finger dauber, before you remove stencil you can go over the edges with the same sponge that we created a base. That will ad some depth to your clouds .

Step 3: Painting a Bear Shape

Bear shape is easy, especially when you use filbert brush.I'm picking up two blue colors(darker and lighter) from same rainbow cake that we use for base.Keep darker color at outer sides, they will create shades and outlines for our design.

Step 4: Adding the Face and Bringing The Bear to Life

Small details are always time consuming so lets make them simple! Using round brush No1 and blue with bit of black from Kraze FX Fundamentals 12 color palette we are painting the eyes, nose and other details. You can paint a star free handed, but this time I used a stencil from GraffitiEyes-Pets and yellow from the Kraze FX palette.

Step 5: Finishing up and Adding Details

Last step for our Care bear is adding details to connect the whole design. I'm continuing with clouds and stars from GraffitiStencil kits and colors from Kraze FX Fundamentals 12 color palette. And we are done!
